Dr. Mark was pursuing a baseball career in his early twenties when he began to experience acute lower back pain. He went to his primary care doctor, a neurologist, massage therapist and an acupuncturist without any success. Finally, he visited a chiropractor and was soon cured. It was this experience that motivated him to pursue a career in Chiropractic to help heal others.
After graduating from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, he went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Northwestern Chiropractic College in Minneapolis in 1986. Dedicated to healing others, Dr. Mark is committed to advancing his knowledge of Chiropractic and related studies through post graduate seminars on such subjects as low back injuries, and whiplash.
It was Dr. Mark’s commitment to the overall wellness of his patients that was the driving force to continue his studies in Designed Clinical Nutrition. He furthered his studies at Ulan Nutrition Systems Inc. under the direction of Dr. Freddie Ulan. The Advanced Clinical Training he received in the evaluation of nutrition is called Nutrition Response Testing (NRT). It allows Dr. Mark to help patients achieve overall wellness through discovery of food sensitivities, allergies, and deficiencies.
